The Smart Learning Factory is a Sino-European joint project for the creation of a learning platform for the “Smart Factory” of the industry of the future, the industry 4.0.

Our goal is to build a demonstration factory in Hangzhou, China.

The contents of the Smart Learning Factory are:

• Learning
  practical, realistic training of technical managers, company engineers, and workers
• Teaching
  sound acquirement of new techniques through Blended Learning with our own online learning system
• Exhibitions
  equipment and solutions from different manufacturers can be compared
• Testing
  implementation and testing of new production processes
• Research
  new approaches can be developed in a realistic environment
• Production
  small batch production

The target groups are:

• Decision-makers from companies
  who want to inform themselves independently and concretely about the techniques of the Smart Factory and who want to learn these techniques.
• Industrial suppliers
  who want to test and present their products under realistic conditions
• Company engineers
  who would like to try out the new techniques in practice
• Workers
  to be trained on new equipment
• Scientists
  who wish to evaluate new theoretical approaches and processes under quasi-industrial conditions
